Chapter 8.2 - Love and Rejection

Kurt and Lidia are settling back into normal life again and Kurt has finally decided to get a job. He is now a playground monitor at the local school and hopes to move up the ranks and become a teacher.

Working at the school pays the bills but his true love and passion is music. He just loves playing his guitar every chance he gets.

Kurt has also been trying to socialise around town but so far his conversations have been falling flat. He never seems interested in listening to other's conversations and spends most of his time complaining.

Meanwhile Lidia has been working hard on her sculpting skill and job. She has been getting much better and has been producing some great and unique work!

She has been making good money selling her wooden sculptures directly and she has some old clay sculptures lying around which she thought she would have a go at selling at the consignment store.

When Lidia arrived at the consignment store to sell her wares, she came across Bobbie Ashton. a peach skinned, aqua haired witch! Witches are hard to come by in this town, especially ones with such a unique hair and skin colour combination. She was instantly intrigued by him and struck up a conversation.

That conversation quickly lead to a friendship. She found out that he was in a band and he has similar creative interests to her. He was the first real friend she has made in town and soon enough they were hanging out every chance they could get.

They are so close that Lidia even feels comfortable telling Jake all about her family grievances and personal dilemmas. Jake is very quickly becoming the only man she feels comfortable sharing personal details with. In fact, he is her best friend!

Finally Spring has sprung and Love day has arrived. Lidia just had to visit the spring festival in town when she came across the kissing booth. She was in a romantic mood and considered getting her first kiss from a kissing booth.

She figured why not, so she went for it. She kissed a stranger in the kissing booth. Unfortunately i was quite underwhelming for her.

As she wandered around the festival alone, she soon realised she would much prefer to spend love day with someone special, and that was Bobbie. She invited him to meet her at the festival grounds and as soon as she gazed upon him, her thoughts and feelings towards him suddenly began to grow to more than friends.

Bobbie also gazed upon Lidia with a longing glare, hardly feeling worthy of a woman as beautiful as Lidia and considered himself to be firmly in the friend zone. She was far too good for him, or so he thought.

They spend the day egg hunting around the festival grounds with a clear chemistry drawing them closer together, but so far their relationship did not venture further than friendship.

Kurt also has a special wish on Love day, to successfully flirt and kiss a woman in town on the most romantic day of the year. Unfortunately his inappropriate and mean spirited personality seemed to have an opposite effect.

Far from charming, Kurt was actually off putting. I would hardly think that insulting a woman's family prior to a pick up line would ever be a good move.

Your mother looks like a llama! Sooo can I have your number?

He did manage to pull out just enough charm to successfully flirt and woo Ivy Cagle briefly, however he could not hold back his true colours long enough to keep the positive comments and pleasantness flowing.

Later that night after a very busy day, a burglar broke into the house and managed to steal the stove and Winford's old robot building machine while Kurt and Lidia were fast asleep.

To say that Kurt was upset about the burglary would be an understatement.

While Lidia has been busy at home working away on her painting and sculpting, her mind kept wandering to Bobbie.

She could not get her thoughts off him and all of those thoughts were romantic ones, so she decided to act on them and invite Bobbie over.

Conveniently Lidia still happened to be dressed in her lingerie when Bobbie arrived. I think she certainly gave him the impression she was hoping for because they began openly flirting with each other straight away.  Bobbie could hardly believe Lidia was flirting with him!

As they kept flirting with each other, Lidia could not wait to kiss him. Her emotions were running so strong and fast in anticipation for that moment and then she finally did it. Lidia and Bobbie kissed and they instantly fell in love. Lidia only wished that she had not given her first kiss away to that kissing booth and that she had saved her first kiss for her first love instead.

While Lidia's finding new love with Bobbie, Kurt is desperately alone, trying to make friends in town. Instead he sings sad ballads in a karaoke bar by himself, wondering if he will ever find someone to love and care for.

You may have noticed that Disco is not in this chapter. I decided to move her out of the house so all focus will be on our two heirs. Hopefully Disco will find happiness out there somewhere.

Will the love between Lidia and Jake grow? Will Kurt ever make friends and find love? Lets wait and see.

Chapter 7.2 - Making Time for Study & Friends

It has become quite obvious recently that Kurt enjoys getting his kit off and wear only his underwear around the house to do anything and everything such as have a spontaneous dance with a room mate...

Poking a bon fire in his tighty whiteys...

Jamming on his guitar in his undergarments....

As well as getting into arguments and insulting people. In fact, insulting people seems to be one of his favourite past times. This social taboo is making it quite hard for him to make friends.

That was until he met his room mate Cid Serverus who was just as angry and insult filled as he was. Cid was the only person who could handle Kurt's complains and insults, and not only would he take them, he would throw them right back at him with just as much vigour.

Sure it is a bit of a tumultuous friendship that constantly flicks between friendly banter and anger fuelled insults, but somehow it works for them!

Kurt however is not the only one that has been having a hard time making friends. Lidia has been busy sculpting and studying instead of socialising and feels like a bit of an outcast at times.

She didn't fully realise how much of an outcast she was from her peers until a fellow class mate started beating her up after class for no reason and no one bothered to come and help.

Lidia was physically and emotionally hurt by this random act of violence on her. She could not believe that something like this could happen at such a prestigious university.

But her pain quickly turned to anger. She was now more determined than ever to achieve her goals at university and she figured she should probably try and make some friends along the way.

While Lidia sits in her classes taking notes begrudgingly....

Kurt uses class time to catch up on sleep

When Kurt finally wakes up in class, he raises his hand to ask questions in a panic, realising he just slept through his entire class and all of the information he needs to pass his exams

Lidia and Kurt also have many practical tasks to take part in. Lidia recently took part in a day of drawing outdoors.

Meanwhile, Kurt's class decided to take their brain scanning experiments outdoors which resulted in this very strange sight out the front of the comic book store.

In the last few days of term, Lidia came across Walter Fullman in the dormitory and decided to strike up a conversation. To her surprise, the two of them clicked straight away and they had a lot in common.

They soon became friends and she was delighted that she finally had a friend to hang out with in the dormitory that she could relate to and get along with.

The last day of term finally arrived and Lidia decided to cook a lovely meal for all of the room mates as a nice gesture, however it all ended in disaster when the kitchen caught fire.

Well that is certainly one way to end the term with a bang. Probably not the kind of last impression Lidia had hoped to leave behind.

To Lidia's delight, all of her hard work paid off as she received A's in her final exam. Kurt on the other hand received C's on his report card, but he was hardly surprised considering his lack of study habits.

Now it was time to come home, where they were immediately greeted by their robot Disco who is in a constant state of malfunction as usual.

Will Lidia and Kurt pursuit their lives and careers back in town or will they head to University again to finish their degree? Will they make more friends and potentially find love? Lets wait and see.

Chapter 6.2 - A Mean Spirit

After all of this dramatic change in the two heir wishacy, we finally have a chance to get to know Kurt, the new heir. First of all, his mean spirit really shines through as he loves spending his time destroying snowmen and snow angels that have lovingly been made in the front yard.

Either that or he is releasing a lot of pent up frustration about the death of his step brother and and his sudden thrust into this new and challenging role.

One of his favourite things to do is be a troll on forums. Essentially he loves posting inappropriate forum posts and forum comments on the internet anonymously.

The more and more Lidia gets to know Kurt, the more she thinks he is kind of a douche, but he is her brother after all, so she does her best to have a causal chat with him, but they just do not seem to have anything in common and they struggle to find something to talk about.

This disconnection she feels between herself and her step brother really makes her heart break even more at the loss of Winford.

Kurt and Lidia are not the only ones feeling the pain of Winford's death. Disco, Winford's robot and creation is at a loss without him to update her with trait chips, keep her maintained and be her friend. She has been lax on her self tune ups and has been letting herself get to the point of malfunctioning. She is probably having the hardest time with the loss of Winford right now as he was the only one in the house who truly cared for her.

With Kurt ageing up so fast and having to adjust to this new role, he has found solace in street art. He has been heading out on the town at night covering the town's walls with his words and art of wisdom.

While at home, Lidia has been putting her focus squarely on sculpting. She just loves it! In fact, she just registered herself as a self employed sculptor.

Eventually it was time for Kurt to attend his graduation ceremony, and just as they were leaving city hall, they ran into Jasmine and her family. It was lovely to see them again.

This was the first time Lidia and Kurt had seen Jasmine's second son Jasper. He has the same pink skin and aqua hair that she has.

After arriving at home, Kurt was really really keen to go to University. Lidia was quite reluctant considering that is where Winford died and she feared it would bring up horrible memories, but she eventually gave in and decided study would be good for her artistic career. Kurt chose the technology route for his study.

Lidia and Kurt soon arrived at their dormitory. So many new and interesting faces to get to know and befriend.

Then it was time for them to head to the open day. The day that Lidia had been dreading. She saw the freebie stands and remembered this was the last place she saw her brother before he was squashed by a vending machine.

Then suddenly they heard a voice from a nearby room. They went in to investigate and there was this guy, a fellow student giving an impassioned speech and lesson in front of a group of enthralled onlookers.

He was very smart and charismatic for a jock, and very passionate about the topics he was interested in. He caught Lidia's eye straight away and once she was enthralled in his speech, all of the fears and hesitation she had seemed to disappear.

Lidia bravely approached him afterwards and introduced herself. His name was Mugsy Brotoaski. After chatting for a while she asked if he was interested in hanging out. He accepted, however despite this, Lidia was too shy to talk to him most of the time and decided to play video games instead.

After Kurt witnessed Mugsy's impassioned speech, Kurt felt inspired to do the same, so he got up on the podium and gave it everything he got!

Fairies are very underrated. Especially male fairies! Male fairies are not sissies. We are just as manly as any other man out there despite our glittering wings.

Unfortunately no one was there to listen. It didn't seem like he had the same showman ship and charisma that Mugsy had.

This lack of interest didn't bother him too much however as he had a frat party to go to. He was invited to one of the guy's place and the first thing he had to do was get into the Keg! Unfortunately the rest of the night ended up being a bit of a fizzer. Everyone was kinda standing around awkwardly and there was no music playing. I mean seriously, no music at a party??

University isn't all fun and games however. There is also classes, study and a lot of hard work, and Lidia is keen to throw herself into the deep end and make the most of it.

Kurt on the other hand can't get past fooling around and generally letting his mean spirit and inappropriateness run free.

If he is not painting graffiti across the university, he is playing fairy tricks on his room mates. What are we going to do with this boy? He sure seems to be a bit of a handful!

How will Lidia and Kurt fit into University life? Will Kurt and Lidia eventually get along? Will either of them find love? Lets wait and see.
