Chapter 10.1 - For Love and Family

After finding out Derek had a fiancee, Jasmine decided to move on and began hanging out with her new friend Lyle. The first thing she really wanted to do was sing karaoke with him, her favourite hobby, and it turns out he was into karaoke too!

Leila has been playing mum at home a lot lately, focusing on taking care of Lidia to make sure she grows up with the opportunity to gain one of the valued traits needed to become the next heir. She has also been keeping herself busy to take her mind of Devon and the love that was lost, however it turns out she would see him again sooner than expected.

Now that Winford is getting older, he has been asking more questions about his dad. With thoughts of his father mulling over in his head, he decided he wanted to meet and become friends with him, so he decided to invite Devon over to the house. Winford finally has the chance to get to know his father. 

Devon welcomed his son with open arms and was happy to spend time with his son. The same couldn't be said for Leila however. She could not help but try and be intimate with him again but he continually shut down any hint of affection.

Oren and Winford also gained some imaginary friends who they currently seem to be spending more time with now rather than each other.

Oren's little friend is called bubbles while Winford's imaginary friend is named peaches!

I think Leila has been going a little stir crazy cooped up in the house all day! She sure had managed to put herself in quite a tricky spot when picking her daughter up out of the high chair!

Leila: Hmm I probably should have thought this through...

After teaching her daughter all there was to know, Leila decided it was time to head back to work at the fire station, and it turns out this is exactly what she needed, especially when she met the new fireman Justin Fontenot.

He approached her straight away, intrigued to know more about her and they began talking for hours! They even missed the emergency bell while caught up in conversation. Leila was developing very sudden and strong feelings for Justin, even more so than what she had felt for Devon!

After much conversing and flirting, it didn't take long before Leila wanted to kiss him! She could see that look in his eyes, he was waiting to be kissed, so she did it. She leaned in and kissed him, falling in love instantly!

With Jasmine falling further and further behind in the race, you would hardly think she had time to be playing with her toys from the future, but that is just what she did! She really wanted to try out the Jetpack at home and freak out the neighbours!

Lidia has also grown up into a child already! Leila raised her well as she gained the much valued family oriented trait needed to be eligible for heir!

She is a fun loving kid with a love for family, the outdoors and art, and I personally think she is ageing up beautifully! The two boys now need to share their purple bedroom Leila.

I finally got a snap of brother and sister Winford and Lidia as kids. You can see some similarities but in many ways they are very different!

Managed to get mum into the picture also with her two kids. Winford really has taken a lot of features from his mum while Lidia has inherited most of Devon's genes with her purple skin.

So Jasmine has finally put her butt into gear and wandered the street to meet new people where she soon came across Devon as well as a handsome young man named Duncan Cortes. Jasmine approached Duncan immediately and they became friends straight away!

Turns out he was quite a flirt too! Jasmine could almost get lost in those gorgeous eyes of his.

Just as things were going so well with Duncan, Devon butted in and approached Jasmine also. Jasmine was truly flattered by all of this male attention but also slightly weary of Devon and his intentions.

Then all of a sudden Devon pulled out a bunch of flowers to offer her right in front of Duncan. Jasmine was flattered but also confused that he refused to show interest in her sister Leila but is showing outward interest and affection to her!

As Devon stole the spotlight from Duncan and managed to hold Jasmine's attention, Duncan suddenly swept up another woman who walked by and began kissing her passionately! 

Jasmine: Oh well, so much for that guy...Devon on the other hand seems keen, but would I dare tread down another treacherous road towards love?
