Chapter 4.2 - Gift Giving and Growing Up

Winford has been making progress in his bot building career. He has now created a new cleaning trait trip for the household robot Disco. Its great to have another set of hands around the house to do some cleaning!

Then later that night, a strange glow appeared in the sky. Disco came outside to have a look and it was a big shiny space ship! Suddenly the alien craft hovered right over her and beamed her up into the ship!

Disco was eventually returned back to earth but she was not at all impressed by the whole experience!

It was very close to Leila, Kurt, Winford and Leila's birthday so instead of throwing a traditional party, it also happened to be the right time of year for a gift giving party! Leila and Winford danced a happy dance together as they waited for the guests to arrive.

Like mother like son! Little Kurt quite enjoyed watching his mother and step brother's crazy antics and dance moves.

Finally all of the guests started arriving. It truly was like a blast from the past with so many familiar faces surrounding her that she had not seen in a while.

Winford even invited his high school love Lelsey Morrow to the get together and managed to steal a kiss from her under the mistletoe! Aah Winford's first kiss!

So many people showed up for the gift giving celebration. Everyone was keenly waiting to see what gifts they would receive.

Lidia received two painting easels (despite owning one already) but she still did a great job at looking excited at receiving these gifts.

Leila's sister Jasmine also showed up to the party and she had already aged up into an elder. She looks quite different without her signature aqua hair! Instead her colourful hair has turned grey with age.

Leila was very happy to see her sister again, and as she looked at her, she realised it was not long now before she would be growing into an elder also.

Then suddenly in the middle of the gift giving party, Leila made a very awkward and poor decision to start slow dancing with Peter Winterly, Jasmine's ex lover and boss who is also father to her son Oren. Neither Jasmine or Oren looked very impressed.

After Leila and Peter finished their slow dance, Peter only just realised that Jasmine was at the party and his eyes instantly lit up! You could easily see that he did still hold deep feelings for her.

But it turns out Jasmine still held feelings for another former flame, Derek Wilde who she openly flirted with at the party.

This did not last long however as Derek spent most of the day wooing and showing affection to his wife, who also happened to be the same lady who was dressed as a mermaid dancing on the kitchen bench during the bachelorette party. Go figure! What a cute couple.

After the gift giving party began to draw to a close, the family was overwhelmed by the quantity and quality of food left over from the party. 

There was so much food that the family just wanted to eat and eat and unfortunately Justin very quickly began putting on weight!

After all of the guests had left and the sun went down, it became time for the household to age up! First Leila aged up into an elder. The first generation heir and winner is now ready to pass her torch to a younger generation and enjoy retirement with her new young family. 

Soon after, it was Kurt's turn to age up into a child. He has gained the neurotic trait.

Then it was time for Lidia and Winford to age up and finally lay claim over the house. To say that Lidia was excited about finally ageing up into a young adult would be an understatement!

Lidia has now aged up into an elegant young woman! She has been given an updated hair do to suite her age and maturity. Lidia loves the outdoors, is artistic, family oriented, a schmoozer and a savvy sculptor. She has gained the Descendant of Da Vinci lifetime wish where she aims to master the inventing, painting and sculpting skills.

Winford has also aged up into a very handsome and manly young fairy man. Winford loves the outdoors, is neurotic, ambitious, flirty and good. He has gained the lifetime wish of heartbreaker where he wishes to be the boyfriend of 10 sims.

With Lidia and Winford finally ageing up into young adults, its with a heavy heart I say it is time for Leila and her new family to move out of the house and make a new life. It has been wonderful to see Leila's journey and ultimate success in generation one and I hope you are as excited as I am to see how Lidia and Winford progress as generation two!
